How To Reset Network Settings On iPhone

If you do a Network Settings Reset on your iPhone, you may be able to resolve WiFi, cellular, and Bluetooth connection issues.

A Network Settings Reset, unlike a Factory Reset, will not erase any data from your device. It only erases the existing Network Settings and restores them to their factory defaults.

To put it another way, resetting network settings deletes all network-related data on your device, including your WiFi Network Password, VPN Password, and Bluetooth devices that were associated with your iPhone.

The first annoyance you’ll have after completing the Reset procedure is that you’ll have to reconnect to your WiFi Network by entering your WiFi Network Password.

As a result, before proceeding with the steps to Reset Network Settings on your smartphone, make a note of your WiFi Network Password.

Steps to Try Before Network Settings Reset

In most cases, network related problems can be fixed by other troubleshooting steps like Restarting your device, Rejoining WiFi Network, Enabling/Disabling WiFi & Airplane Mode.

Among these, Enabling/Disabling AirPlane Mode is perhaps the easiest and the most effective troubleshooting step that you can try before performing a Network Settings Reset on your device.

Open Settings and move the toggle next to Airplane Mode to ON position.

Wait for 30 seconds and disable Airplane Mode by moving the toggle to OFF position.
